Falmouth & Four Mile Creek

Falmouth was Tasmania's first coastal settlement and was involved in the early days of whaling in Tasmania. Today Falmouth is a quiet seaside hamlet set off the main highway between Scamander and Bicheno. The village sits on a headland at the mouth of Henderson Lagoon.

Falmouth has a mix of permanent residence and holiday home owners who frequent it during the year. Falmouth offers good swimming in the lagoon and is relatively child safe. The village is quiet and offers a peaceful lifestyle option by the sea.

Four Mile Creek is a small coastal village between Scamander and Bicheno positioned on a beautiful beach with rock headlands at each end. The residences are a mix of locals and holiday shacks.

The area is popular with surfers and fishermen as it offers good surf and beach fishing in a relaxing environment. Quiet in the winter months Four Mile Creek comes alive in the summer with holiday makers enjoying the great beach and all its features.
